Whew! It’s been an unbelievable year for LOTRO – seeing Middle-earth
coming alive before our eyes has made all the years of development
worthwhile! It’s hard to believe that less than a year ago we were deep
in Beta, preparing the game for a huge launch!
As the holiday
seasons are upon us I wanted to take a moment to express the team’s
gratitude to all of you for making LOTRO a success and helping us to
keep making it better and better. With Books 9, 10 and 11, we’ve grown
the size and functionality of the game a great deal and tried to
improve the things and places most important to our players. The past
seven months (yup-it’s only been that long) have been a blast and we’ve
just gotten started. We have some huge plans for 2008 and we’ll have
more to say on that subject after the first of the year. Suffice it to
say that while 2007 was a big year for LOTRO, 2008 is going to be even
cooler!
As a leading MMO, we’re looking forward to expanding

Режиссер "Властелина колец" снимет фильм "Хоббит" Американский кинорежиссер Питер Джексон, снявший кинотрилогию "Властелин колец", станет продюсером двух новых фильмов по роману Джона Толкиена "Хоббит", сообщает Reuters. Соответствующее соглашение было заключено между П.Джексоном и кинокомпаниями New Line Cinema и Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios.
Таким образом П.Джексону и New Line Cinema удалось уладить противоречия. Ранее режиссер трилогии "Властелин колец" П.Джексон подал в суд на New Line Cinema, обвинив ее в сокрытии части доходов от его фильмов, заработавших в мировом прокате около 3 млрд долл.
Работа над картинами начнется одновременно в 2009г., и предварительная дата релиза первого фильма намечена на 2010г., второго - на 2011г. При этом пока не известно, кто станет режиссером фильмов и кто напишет сценарии.

Deed requirements have been lowered for completing deeds. Pretty healthy reductions.
Crafted goods had their stats changed and the crafted source items look different -- leathers being quite noticable.
Many requirements have been lowered -- Beryls dropped from 3 per polished to 2 type changes. Tailored cloaks... some haven't changed, some are radically different in appearance and look REALLY nice and unique, I'll try and get an assortment up in the AH to "demo" the looks on them for folks -- with like 10g buyouts so they stay put for "shift-click" inspection by folks to see the various cloak looks. (don't expect this "NOW!" style -- it'll take me a bit to collect all the materials to post them). I'll also try out a few dyes on the various patterns and see if I can report back how the dyes change the appearance (gotta look sharp you know!).

Новая абилка хантеров: Heart-Seeker 106%+1160 damage. 5 second induction. 5 minute cooldown. + у хантеров много других изменений
ПвМП: 1.MP Kinships- I didn't make one but there are 4 Themes, So let the massive Recruiting Sign-Ups begin 2.MP Surnames Now you can have a surname and do the Adopt stuff etc. 3.Trolls are Badass for lack of a better term, 2 trolls killed the 2 Avengers with the CG at Lug and got the CG down by 30k before we died. Thats impressive, my Troll took 8 Sigs with 20k life left, And we completly destroy freeps with 2k crits on AoE.

- О репутации. Ее можно будет зарабатывать тремя способами - квесты, гринд и крафтинг. Одной из наград станет новый, более прочный маунт. Кроме того, награды будут и "классовыми", к примеру Капитаны смогут получить кое-что особенное от благодарных дварфов.
- В 10 буке (в августе) откроют Аннуминас в Эвендиме с новыми квесты и инстансы (сейчас там просто бессмысленные кучи хайлевел мобов).
- Анимация в игре будет немного поправлена, сейчас идет работа над этим.
- В 11 буке (осенью) в пвп кое-что добавят, также будут введены награды за пвп-ранки. Также разрабы хотят ввести еще один пвп-класс в монстерплее, только еще не определились, какой именно.
- В 11 буке (осенью) в игре появятся четыре "поселка" с домами игроков,
